Meet Pittsburgh Pirates manager Clint Hurdle and honor three more members of the Foresters family as they join the Hall of Fame. The event will be on January 27, 2012 at 5:30 PM at the Earl Warren Showgrounds Main Pavilion. The cost is $75 per person, which includes dinner.

The Foresters will play for the National Championship! With a 6-4 win over Haysville, the Foresters clinched their first trip to the NBC World Series title game since 2008. Santa Barbara will play a team to be determined Friday night. The Foresters, undefeated at 6-0, are in position for their third national championship, the most of any team in the country in the past decade. The Foresters became the only remaining undefeated team in the NBC World Series with a 7-0 win over San Diego on Weds. night. Santa Barbara will play on Thursday against a team to be determined late Weds night. The broadcast of the Foresters' Thursday game will begin at 6 pm on AM 990 and Teamline. In the Foresters' win over San Diego, starter Albert Minnis was outstanding, as was the relief corps (again), this time represented by Ian McCarthy and Stephen Johnson; together they struck out 14 Waves. A win Thursday sends the Foresters to the national finals. A "non-win" means another game on Friday night. 'Ster it up! |

The Santa Barbara Foresters entered a one-hour thunderstorm delay in a 4-4 tie with the Kenai (AK) Oilers, and when the lightning subsided the Foresters did not. It led to a 6-4 win that went into the early hours of the morning once again, leaving Santa Barbara in the winner’s bracket final.
